What are the health benefits of the Burger King Veggie Burger?
I don’t eat meat, so I love eating the bk veggie burger. However, I read online that it has around 400 calories! Is the bk veggie burger ‘healthy’? meaning there are actually health benefits? or is it just like the other burgers, unhealthy?
and also, what’s the difference between a veggie whopper and a veggie burger? because the guy who worked there asked me whether I wanted a veggie burger or veggie whopper…the whopper was cheaper. plz help!

veggie burgers from BK are more nutritional bc they actually have veggies but unless you ask for them to micowave them, they are cooked on the same grill as the other hamburgers so that’s where all the calories come from. the veggie burger is from morning star farms but i dont know about the veggie whopper. sorry i cant help you with that.

I am a general manager at a burger king—if you want the veggie burger to be better for you order it without mayonaise—-the veggie whopper is acutally the whopper with no meat—the veggie burger is the vegi patty similar to a boca burger—to be honest it really isn’t that heathy if you consider the bun (bad bad carbs) and the mayo (which can be removed)—other than that it is a fully vegitarian patty (all vegitables) mixed with wheat—i like them too—–also you can look up the contents and calories and stuff on the back of the tray liners that we have—also to add on to what i said since some people seem to believe this—we do not cook them on the broiler where we cook the meat—also i forgot to mention that the vegi patty contains soy so we actually are not allowed to cook it where the meat is cooked because of soy allergies—all vegi patties are microwaved using a seperate container then we cook anything else in—-so don’t worry unless the cook is a total retard your vegi patty is not contaminated with meat—-if you’re worried please ask

Bk veggie burger without mayo or cheese is fairly low in fat. About 6 grams.
Veggie whopper is loaded with mayo ketchup, pickles onions etc etc.

It’s healthy for the environment when you throw it in the trash.

I don’t think either is considered healthy. the veggie burger has a lot of flour (like bread) and its not really veggie b/C they cook it on the same grill that the meat just touched. Don’t eat from burgerking its pretty gross.

If you’re looking for health benefits, stay out of the Burger King and most other fast food joints for that matter! Just because something is “veggie” doesn’t mean it’s actually healthy for you, much less has any additional health benefits. You could assume that the veggie burger would contain less fat than a regular burger, but that doesn’t mean it’s any more nutritious. Iceberg lettuce, for instance, has no fat but it also doesn’t have any protein or vitamins, and only provides a small amount of fiber.
I’m guessing most of those 400 calories comes from the bun, which are usually high in carbohydrates, but low in fiber or other nutrition.
Anyways, a Veggie Whopper is a Whopper(tm) without the hamburger. That is, it’s the bun, the lettuce, tomato, cheese (if you want), pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and whatever other condiments come with a whopper.
A veggie burger is actually a separate product. It’s a patty made from soy protein and some other ingredients. It doesn’t taste like a hamburger, but is still quite good. You can find them in the grocery store. By itself, replacing hamburger with a veggie burger is a smart choice since the veggie burger still provides you with protein, but with fewer calories, and much less fat than a burger. This is why the Veggie Whopper(tm) is cheaper than their veggie burger, since you’re not getting as much food with the Veggie Whopper, which is little more than a fancy lettuce and tomato sandwich…
Finally, if you’re actually trying to be a vegetarian, stay out of the Burger King altogether. You can be sure they’ll cook your veggie burger on the same grills they use for the hamburgers, and everything is going to contain traces of burger fat – it’s just unavoidable in places like that.

Eating red and processed meats can increase the risk of lung and other types of cancer.
